Jim is a UK based guitarist who has been playing professionally since the age of 16. He plays electric and acoustic guitar and also slide/lap/pedal steel guitar.

 

Joining the band Steadman and signing to Warner at the age of 17, Jim toured America over a few years supporting Artists such as Jason Mraz, Jet, Ash, Echo & The Bunnymen, Feeder and Stereolab. Steadman recorded an album with Alain Johannes (QOTSA, Them Crooked Vultures) and Natasha Schneider (Eleven, Chris Cornell).

 

He has toured Europe and the USA extensively and appeared as a featured musician on TV shows such as Smallville, Charmed, American Dreams, The Late Show with Craig Kilbourne and The Sharon Osbourne Show and played at major festivals including SXSW, NXNW, Reading/Leeds, Latitude, Isle of White Festival, Bestival, Rock am Ring/Rock am Park, Hard Rock Calling.

 

More recently, Jim has played electric and acoustic guitar on Robbie Williams’ last two albums, The Heavy Entertainment Show and Under the Radar and he played guitar on Saint Raymond’s top ten iTunes album ‘Young Blood‘ also playing on the single ‘Young Blood ‘, which was produced by Jacknife Lee (U2, R.E.M).

 

Jim has recorded guitar for Film and TV. Recent credits include 21st Century Fox production ‘Walk Like a Panther’ and Channel 4 programmes ‘Educating…’ and ‘Children Who Kill ‘.

 

Jim currently works for producers/composers including Guy Chambers (Robbie Williams, Kylie), Richard Flack (Florence and The Machine, Jarvis Cocker), James McMillan (Sia, Ronan Keating) and he has worked many years for Brit award winner Blair Mackichan (Lilly Allen, Paloma Faith) being his in-house session guitarist.
